Ecomotor is a small independent workshop in Pedreguer. We are not a chain and we are not a main dealer, which in practice means two things. The first is that you speak to the mechanic who actually works on your car, not to a service adviser reading from a screen. The second is that nothing gets done to your car without a fixed quote first — if we open something up and find more than we expected, the car stops and the phone rings.
That matters more than usual here. A lot of our customers moved to the Costa Blanca from the UK, Germany, the Netherlands or Belgium, and arrived with an entirely reasonable worry: how do you tell an honest garage from an expensive one in a language you are still learning? Our answer is boring and it works — explain the fault in plain English, show you the worn part, quote before starting, and never invent work. Ecomotor has been looking after cars in the Marina Alta for more than 15 years on exactly that basis.
We work on everything. Petrol and diesel, small hatchbacks, family estates, vans, older cars that people are keeping going on purpose, and the occasional weekend car that comes in for an exhaust. Servicing, brakes, clutches, timing belts, electrical faults, diagnostics, ITV preparation — the ordinary business of keeping a car on the road, done properly.

Ondara and Gata de Gorgos are a few minutes away. Denia is about twelve minutes on the CV-725, Xàbia (Jávea) roughly twenty through Gata, and people drive over from Teulada, Moraira, Benissa and Calpe as well — usually because someone told them we would explain the problem in English and quote before starting.
If you are leaving the car with us, that distance matters less than you would think. We open Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 18:00 without closing at lunchtime, so you can drop the car off first thing, get on with your day and collect it later. Tell us when you need it back and we will be straight with you about whether that is realistic.
You will not find a price list here for garage work, and that is deliberate. The honest answer to “how much is a clutch?” is that it depends on the car, on what else has to come off to reach it, and on what we find once it is apart. What we can promise is the sequence: you tell us the symptom, we look at the car, we give you a fixed quote, and that quote is what you pay unless something new turns up — in which case we ring you before doing anything else.
Send us the make, model, year and engine on WhatsApp along with what the car is doing, and you will usually get a useful answer the same day. If it needs eyes on it, bring it in. Looking at a car and telling you what is wrong with it does not cost you anything.
We also run a small shop selling Motor Milk™ racing oil, which we fit here at the workshop or send out. The shop and the oil guide are in Spanish, but the viscosity grades read the same in any language: browse the oil shop, or simply ask us which grade your engine wants.
